Golden Green Ball

In Enterprise we rotate the Golden Green Ball and the Road Show. All the wards in our stake participate. This year we did the Golden Green Ball. Our ward was assigned the Jitterbug. Bishop actually called me and asked if Rhett and I would teach the Jitterbug to our Young Women and Young Men. That was fun! But, I will say, our youth need quite a few more dance lessons. We were able to teach them the basics and do a little floor show. After all the wards did their assigned dances, then it just became a dance. That was fun to see parent (some of them) dancing with their kids. If you are wondering if Rhett and I were among the brave parents willing to venture out on the dance floor with the youngsters, and perhaps be criticized for our old fogie dance moves and our ability to embarrass our young. Then, the answer is yes! We feel it is part of our parental responsibilities to embarrass our children any chance we get. It keeps them humble, and teaches them to have fun and live life instead of sitting on the sidelines watching. (Oh, No. . . someone might see us! Whatever that is so lame!) And did we embarrass them, No! Everyone thought we are cool! Or at least that is what they say to our faces.
This is some of Tanner's mad moves at the dance.

Oh Morgan, you take such beautiful pictures! I love your personality. But, really I'm alittle afraid your eyes are going to bong out.
Morgan dancing with Kaden Carter. Aw, how cute.
Olivia, Morgan and Shay watching the floor show. I thing the ward performing is doing the waltz.
Tanner is taking a break. This dancing is exhausting! I like the purple tie.
This is Tanner during the floor show. I am running the music so I left Rhett with the camera. Wow, he makes me look like a professional photographer! Morgan is in there somewhere, but, I can't see her, can you? Well Rhett, I think you get an "E" for effect, but that is the best I can give you!
More photos by Rhett. Maybe the problem is they are just moving to fast for the eye to see them clearly. Nice try, it is the photographer.

Hurray, Football, we're back!

Well, one of the things I am Happy about is... Since we are staying in Enterprise, Tanner can play Football again. He is back in the weight room trying to pump-up a little. I really enjoyed watching him play last year. I became one of those crazy parents that follow their kids bus around to watch them play any game JV or varsity. He is #83. He will keep his same number this year. It was fun watching how powerful this light weight was last year. From what I hear he can hit pretty hard. He played defensive end (?), punt returner and wide reciever.
He was named one of the player of the game in South Sevier. It was the varsity game and they put him in the last half and he got an interception. The reason this was so amazing is that at 105 lbs he is the smallest kid on the team. The kids that tackeled him were ginormaous! Needless to say that didn't stop him. Just wait until he get his growth spurt!

So, come fall, our family will put on their blue and gold war paint and follow Tanner around the state. If you ever get bored and have some free time, come watch some ball. It's SO much better in real life!

White House

When we planned to move to Fremont this summer, one of the things that was important to us was that Morgan was able to tryout for their cheer team if she wanted to. Trying out for cheer is something that has been important to her for the last couple of years. So, we planned for me to take a week off of work and for Rayce, Morgan and I to stay in Fremont for a week so Morgan could try out if she wanted to. But, while we were up there Rhett and I decided that this was not the right time for our family to move and that we would be better off to stay in Enterprise. So, Morgan, Rayce and I basically had a week off and Morgan didn't tryout. While we were up there I helped Taunee and Cherie with tryouts. We did some painting in the white house. And I got to read some books. (Ihaven't had time to do that since. . . oh, forever) Marcie and Dale came and visited. It was nice to see their kids for a while.
Rayce in an amazing picture by Morgan.
Rayce in a tree in front of the farm house.
This is what I look like spraying of the sidewalk.
I don't know what Morgan had in mind for this picture.
This is one of the rooms upstairs in the farm house. Rayce hung out here alot and watched DVDs.

Parowan Bantam Tournament

This is the Parowan bantam tournament. This tournament happened in March. Rayce and Wade (probably more Rayce) were excited. For at least 5 days before the tournament Rayce would ask us every day if today was his tournament. We would tell him no and he would get so disgusted. I asked him why he was so upset, and he would tell us that he had to get ready for his tournament. And you ask me what does a 6 year old have to do to get ready for a tournament? Well silly, he has to take a bath and put on his singlet, of course?

Here are some pictures of Wade and his mad moves. Some of them . . . what can I say, the boy has skills!

If you notice in the background. The brown shoes and wrestling sweatshirt. That is Rhett coaching his boys.

Well, depending on the match, Rayce either loves wrestling or he hates it and never wants to wrestle again. He took 3rd and ended on a win. So for this day, we love wrestling. The first 2 we lost so we hated wrestling then. So, at least we ended on a positive note.

Wade pinning his man. The tournament was a 4 man roound robin. Which means you wrestle 3 other kids in your bracket.

Rayce was happy to be there even though we had to get up at 5:30 and drive in a snow storm to get there!

I'm not sure what knd of a move this kid is trying on Rayce. But, the picture looks kind of cool!

Rhett is giving Rayce a pep talk before the tournament.

Tanner helps coach his little brothers. Here Racye is getting some encouragement.

Dust Buster

Well, I have now spent about 2 hours trying to make these stupid pictures download. I have no idea what the problem was. But, my next solutions was to take this stupid computer outside and shoot it with Rhett's shot gun. But, I have calmed down now. Anyway. . . The Jeffery family finally had a weekend of no obligations about 4 weeks ago. And I finally am getting around to posting the pictures. I decided since we had some time off that we were going to clean the light fixtures. Well, Rhett got carried away and decided that he was a dust buster and the kids were his cleaning crew. I finally got around to cleaning some windows that have been bothering me. It is amazing how much of the outside world looks defined and clear when the windows are clean. It still suprises me! Rhett must have felt the same way about the elk head. But, those antlers shine now!!!
