Well, we had another great year of football at EHS. Tanner was number 83 again. We went to almost all of his games. He played DB (defensive back), he was on the hands team (received the ball when the other team kicked it), and we play some sort of receiver. He said he really prefers to play defense because it doesn't hurt as bad to hit someone as it does to get hit! Makes sense. And I'll tell you what, he can really hit them! At the first of the year he really wasn't the big, and he was bringing down some huge guys. He had a growth spurt about half-way through the year and he used that to his advantage and just kept bringing them down!!! I enjoy watching him, and I hope he continues to play. He is really fast. Right now he is the 5th fastest football player on the team and he is only a sophomore. Here's some pictures. (Thanks Marlee, you are awesome at sports pictures)
I have no idea who some of these teams are. Just look for the #83 and that is Tanner. This is Richfield. Tanner is playing defense.
Tanner and a pack of wolves bringing down a wildcat. #89 to the right is one of Tanner's good friends, David Koller. He plays a lineman.
I'm running, I'm running, I'm running...
Down they go...
Same kid as last picture, just a little more tackled.
Receiving a pass.
Blocking
Another one of Tanner's good friends on the football team is Kanton Vause. He is number #33. I don't know what his position is. But, the quarter back would give him the ball and he would run it. Tanner like blocking in the back field for him. Here they are on defense working together to bring this kid down.
Still working at it...
They got him. He's is definitely tackled.
